Abstract

Modern data on the frequency (outside and during sexual activity) and content of sexual fantasies, dependence of these fantasies upon sex, age, sexual orientation (heterosexual and homosexual), race (Caucasian and Negro), level of testosterone, character traits and cultural gender stereotypes are submitted. Information about their functions, diagnostic significance and correction of unwanted fantasies is given. The results of the author’s studies on using of these fantasies by patients with sexual dysfunctions are presented.
