Experience of administration of Vitaprost Forte suppositors in patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of male sexual organs complicated by excuretor-toxic infertility

Abstract
Objective: to study the efficacy and safety of rectal suppositories Vitaprost Forte in the treatment of patients with chronic prostatitis complicated by excuretor-toxic infertility (ETI).
Materials and methods. In the dynamics 88 patients with chronic inflammatory diseases of male genital organs complicated by ETI were examined and treated. The age of patients was 32 to 42 years (mean age 38.4±1.0 years), the duration of the disease was from 1 to 5 years. Medicine Vitaprost Forte was prescribed one rectal suppository after enema or bowel movement at night for 30 days.
Results. As a result of the study, the anti-inflammatory property of Vitaprost Forte was demonstrated. During the entire course of treatment the drug was characterized by good compliance. In 3 (3.4%) of 88 patients, minor side effects were found that were temporary, disappeared and allowed to continue treatment. A study was made of the effect of Vitaprost Forte on the reproductive function of men. During the control study of the ejaculate 3 months after the end of therapy, the majority of spermogram parameters improved: the volume of ejaculate, sperm concentration, mobility, the number of live spermatozoa, the number of leukocytes, erythrocytes, pathological forms of spermatozoa decreased. When studying pyospermia, a decrease in the number of leukocytes was found on the average from 18.42±0.65 to 1.02±0.12 in the field of view of the microscope.
Conclusion. Vitaprost Forte is an effective drug in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of male genital organs, complicated by ETI. The drug is well tolerated and has minimal side effects, which indicates its therapeutic value. The obtained results allow to recommend Vitaprost Forte for complex treatment of ETI caused by chronic nonspecific diseases of the male reproductive system.
