Abstract

We examined 26 patients with bladder cancer. In all of them the transitional cell cancer has been diagnosed: stage T1 in 14 patients (including G2 in 12 patients), stage T2G2 in 9 patients, stage T3G1 in 3 patients. Genetic tests of the VEGF primers were performed by PCR/light microscope «Primo Star» with magnification 100 and 400. In case of bladder cancer the following genotypes of VEGF gene have been found: genotype GG in 57,6% patients, genotypeGC in 34,6% patients, and genotype CC in 7,6% patients. In the healthy persons the distribution of genotypes was as follows: genotype GG in 31,6% persons, genotype GC in 53,4% persons, and genotype CC in 16,1% persons. In the patients with bladder cancer the genotype GG of VEGF gene was found the most frequently in Т2G2 stage in 40% patients, in stage Т1G2 in 33,3% patients, less frequently in stage Т3G3 in 20% cases. Genotype СС of VEGF gene was found only in 2 from 26 patients with bladder cancer, therefore its value is not representative for the bladder cancer.
