Abstract

The research assessed the mutual influence of the traditional marker of inflammation of the prostate – leucocytes in ejaculate, and γ interfer on in ejaculate in the context of their implications for fertility patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis.

The study involved 16 patients with inflammatory form of chronic abacterial prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CAP/CPPS IIIA), 59 patients with non inflammatory form of chronic abacterial prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CAP/CPPS IIIB) and 14 healthy men as controls .

Statistically significant difference (p <0.05) the contents of γ interfer on in the ejaculate between groups CAP/CPPS IIIA and IIIB was identified. In CAP/CPPS patients correlation γ interferon ejaculate in semen with the number of white blood cells (τ=0,363, p<0,05) was observed. There is a weak positive correlation г interferon number of progressively motile sperm. It remained statistically significant after excluding the effect of semen leukocytes by determining the partial correlation between the content of γ interferon and spermogram.

Prostate inflammation is characterized by interferon gamma in the presence (CAP/CPPS IIIA) and absence of (CAP/CPPS IIIB) leuko cytes. It is proposed to characterize CAP/CPPS as «leukocyte positive» (IIIA) and «leukocyte negative» (IIIB).
